On this exciting excursion through the eastern half of Morocco, you'll travel in style in a modern, air-conditioned minibus. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:15 a.m. and take you to the starting point. We'll cross the Atlas Mountains to descend to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.

The Kasbah (there are actually six of them within a fortified city) is a marvelous place. Here, you'll feel as if you've been transported back to the days of gladiators, desert nomads, and ancient trading markets. Lunch on the first day will be at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou after the guided tour.

Our next stop on this first day will be Ouarzazate. We'll admire the scenery of a city where several blockbuster films have been filmed. Classics like The Mummy and Lawrence of Arabia are among the many movies made in this city often called "The Gateway to the Desert."

In the desert gateway city, we can stop at a café before venturing into the Dades Valley. Once here, you can relax in a private guesthouse in Dades with a private bathroom and enjoy the culinary delights of a Moroccan dinner.

The next morning, we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast at our guesthouse and head to the Todra Gorges. The Todra Gorges are simply breathtaking and offer breathtaking scenery that will make you wonder why it hasn't been listed as one of the wonders of the world. After lunch on the second day, we'll head to Merzouga.

Overnight at a desert camp

Merzouga is truly a place in the heart of the desert. Here, we'll mount our camels and cross the dunes of Erg Chebbi to reach the Berber camp where we'll spend the night. At the desert camp, you'll enjoy dinner and breakfast in the morning before finishing our final day of travel back to Marrakech.

Our camels will take us back to Merzouga, then we'll travel through the Draa Valley, where we'll see the sites of Rissani. Here, the Moroccan architecture of the palaces, gates, and temples offers numerous photo opportunities.

The final leg of this excursion will take us through Nqob, then Tamnougalt, before returning to the familiar city of Ouarzazate. Lunch can be enjoyed at any café before heading back through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, where our journey will end. Arrival in Marrakech is expected around 8:00 p.m.
