Departing from Marrakech towards the Ourika Valley waterfalls for the first part of our journey, you'll admire lush green hills, Berber villages, and rolling hills. Rivers meander through the valley, providing plenty of opportunities for spectacular photo opportunities.
We'll make stops in some of these typical Berber villages to give you a glimpse into the daily life of these local people. Continuing through the valley, we'll approach the more mountainous passages of the Atlas Mountains towards Setti Fatma. There are several small (and a few much larger) waterfalls along this route, and not all are crowded with tourists.
We recommend bringing hiking boots, as we'll be taking a short trail to some of the Setti Fatma waterfalls. You should also bring a swimsuit and sunscreen, as we may have the opportunity to swim in small pools that form at the foot of the waterfalls.
It is also recommended to bring a change of clothes, as we may get close to the waterfalls where there will be plenty of splashing water to cool you down. Also, remember to bring warm clothes, as the end of the hike leads to the town of Sti Fatma, where it can be very cool, even in summer.
You should bring lunch with you on this excursion, but there are many cafes and restaurants in some of the Berber villages we will visit during our day. However, a camera is the most important accessory to bring, as this experience must be captured in photos.
The hike to the Setti Fatma waterfalls crosses the valley, after which we will return to Marrakech by the same route. We are expected to return to the city around 5:00 PM.
